SOUL CARE

At Redeemer Bible Church we like to refer to biblical counseling as soul care. Our soul care is based on the timeless truths of God's Word, the Bible. At the heart of our care is the conviction that God's Word has the answers to care for the real problems of real people. This does not mean that the Bible has all the answers to all the questions one may have about their problems. But it does mean that God has provided everything we need to know in order to walk by faith through whatever problems life brings. And so our counselors are committed to helping those they care for actually live to please the Lord, through whatever problem they may be going through (2 Peter 1:3). 

Biblical soul-care is part of the discipleship ministry of Redeemer Bible Church and is conducted under the care of our pastoral team. Composed of Christ-followers who voluntarily submit themselves to one another in love for the sake of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our team of Biblical counselors have been vetted by and operate in submission to our team of Pastor-Elders. 

Unlike the therapy model, our primary concern is how each person is relating to God and responding to God, this is called faith. And so the faith of a counselee is our primary focus as Biblical counselors. By faith we mean the choice to view and respond to your problems through the lens of the Bible, rightly interpreted and rightly applied. And so, our goal is simple – to help you walk with God through the trials and pain that life brings. Even through your darkest days, God is ready and able to care for you at the level of your soul. God's Word rightly understood and rightly applied provides rich-comfort, deep-care, and true-direction through the pain and suffering caused by living in a broken world.  

Our soul care ministry exists to declare Christ Jesus all-sufficiency to the world. We do this in two ways: First, by building up the authentic faith of our members through careful instruction and application of the Word of God. Second, by offering soul care to those outside our church community as we have capacity.

Once you complete the forms, one of our biblical counselors will contact you soon to arrange a time to meet (all of our biblical counseling is done free of charge).
